Lovely layers by Marta

We are welcoming back the super talented Marta as a guest creative team member today! Can you believe her incredible style? The layers are deliciously full of texture. She's right up UmWowStudio's alley!

Our Leaf Stems look really incredible all layered up and included in this beautiful card.

Our Sketchy Circle peeks out of the layers.

The Distressed Harlequin BG makes a great embellishment piece dusted in white.

Without a smile

Hello everone,

and welcome to this blogpost at the end of this year ! Hasn't it gone fast !

For today I have made a tag:

And here is what I did with the chipboard:

I decided to use pattern paper and embossing powder to embellish my chipboard today.

I put some masking tape on the bottom and the top because I wanted to paint the 'skirt' bit with gesso. I wanted to use embossing powder on this part and because it is really light blue, I thought it might not show it's real colour if I put it on the dark brown chipboard. I didn't want any gesso on the bottom 'stand' though... (I could've left of the tape off the top).

After approx. 3 layers of embossing powder it looked like this.

Next I cut a piece of pattern paper in the shape of the 'bodice' and glued it on. I added some shading with a marker.

The foot and top of the piece were coloured with a dark brown marker. I think it turned out nice.

So for the tag I cut a #8 tag from white card stock and glued some book paper to it. I added white gesso and light blue paint and some rub ons...
Some lines along the edges and a ribbon finished it off...

I have used this chipboard today :

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Planning for 2017 with UmWowStudio by Olga

Hello friends of UmWowStudio!

Here is Olga today with sharing a project for the new year ;)

This is a planner! I have made my planner myself :D I love planner! But they all are not for me - it is something what I don't like - the size or week beginning not from monday... etc..

So I took the wonderful collection from 7Dots Studio "Cotton Candy Dreams" and chipboard from UWS for this and created MY own planner! Check it out!

Size: 21x13x3 cm, Binding: 6 ring binder, Hold with elastic band with sharms :D I have added gold foile on chipboard and cover. The cover is from my old pullover ;)) inner side is from faux leather with one pocket (ok, the pockets are not my thing yet.. but I#m working out this ;)))

The overlays between sheets are from Life Project stuff (thank you, dear Eirini for!)
The sheets with months and weeks are handmade from me.. ok, not perfect ;) but my ;)) And not really done ;)) But you can see what I mean with My Planner!

Supplies I used:

Writer's Block MASH

Doodle MASH

This is my last post this year! So I wish you so much good and best! Plan your year but stay creative!
