Hello!
Anai here with my last work for UmWowStudio :)
It was amazing time and I'm so gratefull for this opportunity :)

I decided to make another LO for you. It's a mix of many different products and techniques! Lately I feel the need to play with my LO's a lot - it's so much fun :D
And with the UmWowStudio it's even funnier - masks, amazing chipboards and badges. I only add my favourite medias (PanPastels, Distress Ink, acrylic paints, modeling paste, crackle paint, Lindy's Stamp Gang mists and embossing powders here), some cute paper embellishments... and cute layout is ready.
And it had to be cute - this little girl is a doughter of my friends - probably the most cutest girl in the world :)

Guest Creative Team Member : Nadia Cannizzo

Today we have the super talented Nadia Cannizzo joining us, I'm sure glad we nabbed her up before she got so busy! She's now sitting pretty on Prima Marketing's Design Team as well as the 7 Dots Studio Design Team. Thanks for being a guest, Nadia!!

A bit about Nadia:
Hi my name is Nadia Cannizzo, I am of Greek origin, a primary school teacher , 35 and together with my husband of 15 years we live in the suburbs of beautiful Sydney Australia raising our 3 young daughters.
I started creating cards about 7 years ago and moved on to scrapbooking about 5 years ago. I have had my ups and downs through out my creative journey  but have stuck it out and this is the longest hobby I have ever had. Well.. it is more than a hobby I must admit. It is what I call therapy. From the thrill I get when something new arrives at my doorstep, to the incredible people I have met online, I can definitely credit this "hobby" with getting me through some very difficult times.
It is always a pleasure to discover new manufacturers and UmWowStudio is one of my favourites right now so I am very excited to be here to share with you a project I created with UmWowStudio products. Thank you DeeDee for having me :)
Please stop by my blog some time : Just My Scrapping World

This Happened with Manda

Hi everyone, Manda here and today is my last day to post for Um Wow as part of the Design Team. I have loved being part of a team with so many talented ladies and working with some wonderful products, I will definitely be sad to go but cannot wait to see what the new team makes to inspire us with.

For my last project I decided to get messy with some mixed media. Starting with a plain piece of aqua cardstock I first added a thin layer of gesso and then used two 12x12 stencils (both heidi swap) a sunburst which I misted with Citron Color Shine and a hexagon with I used a blue Mister Huey mist.
After that I took a small Heidi Swapp stencil and used Tim Holtz distress ink to make bold triangles. I also added some random stamping with a Glitz roller stamp. To finish the background off I took my gelatos and added colour around the edge.
Once my background was done I used the Hexagon Background chip and layered my papers and photos on top. When I placed the chipboard I didn't think about the balance of the page so I then had a gap on the right hand side. To fill in that space I took one of the Avery Elle stamps we recently worked with and stamped in Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used the Arrow Title Mash chip for my title, this is one of my favourite sets I use all the time. To finish off I used a flair from the Oh Places You'll Go set.

So that is it from me today, thank you so much for stopping by and a HUGE thank you to Dee Dee for having me as part of this amazing team.

Guest CT - PEG HEWITT

We have a layout from one superbly grungy delicious Peg Hewitt to share with you today :

UmWow has to be my favourite chippy company right now, with such original designs AND masks!! I feel a little blessed to have been asked to do a page to share with y'all. I have used the line of chevrons mask  with a black inkpad to draw attention to my photos and the layered circles, embossed and stamped with Stazon ink, to embellish my page, a spray of star confetti links the circles.  The background was created with Dylusions in yellow and red and a circle stamp, and I have used some 7Dots Studio 'Nature Walk' 6 x 6 designer paper for photo mats. I love how this turned out and am looking forward to playing some more with this awesome chippy.
Thanks DeeDee!

Thanks for joining us on the blog today Peg!! Your layout has lovely grungy layers as always, and we're glad to have you join us for a short period of time!

Totally happy by Tusia Lech

Hello folks!

Here is Tusia Lech today with a layout.

The photo was taken last year in the summer - my daughter was very happy, because she loves to be outside :) Background paper comes from 7 Dots Studio line - Cold Country. I created some layers using papers and pink doilies.

Gorgeous polaroid frame was covered with pink embossing powder. You can see also background created with gesso and UWS Circle Confetti mask.

I have added also Circle Confetti chipboard pieces colored with white Faber-Castell Pitt Pen.

This gorgeous Floral Flourish was covered with with and green embossing powder.

Family Hashtag Banner was covered with green embossing powder. I love to use embossing powder for changing the color of UWS chipboard.

And last but not least - have you seen new, gorgeous, so very detailed doilies from UWS?! I covered one with white embossing ink. It looks stunning!!! Under the doily I placed sweet, pink flair from Our Princess set.

Thank you for visiting UmWowStudio blog today!!!

Cloud Surfer

cloud surfer full, ALLassiter Hi there! It's Amy here today, to share a layout made with some wonderful UmWowStudio products, and pops of some of my favorite colors. I used my new Gelli Plate, paints, and the Hexagon Mask. I also used the mask and some black ink, and created spots of honeycomb randomly throughout the page. I like this eye catching detail. cloudflowersclose
The photos are of my daughter, at the time 13 years old, heading down the hall to the beach, while we were in Hawai'i. She was excited, and thinking carefully about what was ahead...and it was a neat moment I still remember vividly. It's nice to have the photograph to go back in time to a lovely moment.
I used a vintage doily, some grunged up Prima flowers, and the beautiful flower chipboard piece from the Flora and Fauna collection  to complete the top of the layout. chipcloud
Finally, I created the little cluster at the bottom of the page, using several little elements that were used elsewhere on the layout. Topping it off is the cute "Be Happy" flair piece, from the Sidewalk Chalk Flair collection.

be happy flair corner

It's amazing how all the different little shapes from the different chipboard confetti collections, easily come together to add something special to a page. On this page, I used bits from the Hexagon, and Star, confettis, and they make a lovely little sprinkle of happiness.
Thanks so much for having a look today. I enjoy spreading the UmWowStudio love, and hope you too will grab some and make something pretty, very soon!
~Amy

Believe you can....

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Tina Walker here today with an Art Journal page, using some of my favorite UWS products and PanPastels.  UWS products are so versatile and can be used on a multitude of projects.  Combined with PanPastels, the possibilities are endless.

To begin 'building' my page, I drew several 'rays' extending from the bottom of my page.

On alternating rays, I applied Translucent Embossing Paste with the "Hexagon Confetti Stencil", making sure the embossing paste did not migrate to the bordering ray.

Once the paste was dry, I applied several shades of PanPastels to the rays and blended.  I love how the embossing paste resisted the PanPastel and how each shade of PanPastel blended with the other(s).

On each opposite ray, I adhered a piece of patterned paper and colored with another PanPastel color.

Special tip:  I 'set' my PanPastels with a few spritzes of water.  You can also use a fixative or hairspray to set the pastels so they do not rub off.

I then doodled on each of these PanPastel paper rays with Acrylic Paint markers and doodling pens.

Looks great, doesn't it?

To finish off my Art Journal page, I doodled a large sentiment on a ray 'painted' with PanPastels, then added a smaller sentiment, using "Alpha One" chipboard.

What a fantastic impact, with nominal work.  I simply love using UmWowStudio stencils with PanPastels.  They are a match made in heaven!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Tina

The Pen Is Mightier by Miae

Hello there!

As most of you know, this month we're using Pan Pastels on our UmWowStudio pages and projects. I really wasn't that familiar with how to use them prior to this page but I must say I'll definitely be using them more now! The colors are beautiful and they were so easily blendable! In fact, except for the black swirly marks, all the color that was added to this page is from Pan Pastels!

To alter these feathers from the Feather Trio collection I first covered them with book paper. Next I lightly gessoed the whole feather. After that I blended two Pan Pastel pinks for color and shading. Finally I stamped with a word stamp.

So I discovered an interesting property with Pan Pastels and clear gesso....the clear gesso (not white) seems to dry with a more gritty, toothy texture so the Pan Pastel adheres to it better. For my background I had used the Circle Confetti Mask and clear gesso all over the background. When I rubbed the Pan Pastels over the background, the pigment really 'stuck' to the gesso and you could see the mask pattern very nicely.

So I covered all the rest of the chippies (from the Soar Tags and Layered Circles) with both white and clear gesso before coloring them with Pan Pastels. Love the effect!

And I mustn't forget to mention, I used the beautiful papers from 7Dots Studio Nature Walk collection along with the word stickers and Butterfly Kisses Flair. The neutral colors went so well with the hues provided by the pigment!
